Richard Jackson runs Forever Creative in Scarborough, a business with three key elements: product photography, location photography and web design.
From a young age Richard had an interest in all things visual and after graduating with a degree in photography and graphic design he worked for a number of companies before deciding to go it alone and set up his own company.
Richard has been helped by Chris Goddard, of West & North Yorkshire Chamber, to get the business started. He said: “Chris has been able to point me in the right direction for training courses andstart up finance. I’ve also attended a number of Chamber events and have become a member.”
The web design side of his business has been in association with Paul Taylor of Aura Creative Media and includes websites created for Hackness Grange Hotel, Rosh Jewellers and South Cliff Golf Club.
Richard is looking to keep adding to his customer base and buy new equipment in the future. Though life has been hectic since starting up he is pleased with the quality of work being produced and happy to be working with clients who have a similar, can-do attitude. His advice to anyone starting up would be to go for it but with a word of caution: “Don’t expect it to be easy, it really isn’t, but it is so rewarding.”
